When it came time to design our new Queensland headquarters, we knew we had to practice what we preach and showcase what our products are capable of. After all, if we’re supplying the materials, we should be the first to show you how they’re done.
While this fitout is like a big showroom, it’s also our day-to-day workspace, so it has to look great, function well, and have sustainability in mind. And now it’s done? We can say with confidence it ticks all three boxes.
Ceiling tiles Armstrong: what we used in our own office space
Armstrong MetalWorks Rhombic 7 with Black Optra Overlay
This pairing creates a unique, dual-effect ceiling. The MetalWorks Rhombic 7’s diamond-shaped mesh produces a dynamic look, appearing sleek and metallic from one angle, then revealing the black acoustic overlay beneath from another.
True to our ethos of aesthetics without sacrificing function, this combo provides excellent acoustic performance for open plan spaces, which is why it’s perfect for our front desk area where conversations, phone calls, and movement are constant.

There’s a reason why Ultima is a bestseller and finds itself in a huge range of fitouts from education to healthcare. With a smooth, light reflective surface and a high NRC/CAC value, it delivers both form and function in equal measure.
Armstrong Ultima
Clean, polished, and dependable. It’s an easy choice for any space that needs to look sharp and perform well.

Armstrong WoodWorks with Ultima Overlay
We wanted to soften up some of the spaces and bring in a bit of warmth, and these perforated timber-look tiles delivered. They have that natural, earthy feel, but still holds their own in terms of technical specs.
WoodWork’s acoustic fleece backing and perforations, combined with the Ultima overlay, make for a high acoustic performance duo.

Autex Acoustic panels we used at our new QLD HQ
Autex Groove and Autex Mirage
Walls don’t have to be boring. To break up the blank canvas of our office walls, we brought in Autex Groove and Mirage, and they do more than just look good. Groove’s precision-cut channels and the subtle textures of Mirage add texture and visual interest, while also pulling double duty as a high-performance acoustic treatment.
Wall treatments with colour or texture are a smart way to bring the walls to life (without being overwhelming) for any fitout.

Autex Frontier Raft Beam and Autex Grid Ceiling Tiles
For targeted acoustic control with bold, architectural flair, Autex Frontier and Grid Ceiling Tiles made perfect sense. Both of these that acoustic treatments don’t have to hide in the background; they can be a centrepiece.
