Bradford Glasswool Batts are a resilient and compressible insulation manufactured from the controlled felting of glasswool bonded with a thermosetting resin. The product is non hazardous and bio soluble. Glasswool Batts have a special treatment added to increase their ability to repel water which gives added protection to internal and external walls from possible water damage from water wicking. Glasswool Batts will not burn and will provide excellent thermal and acoustic insulation in the home.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Glasswool Batts are manufactured to a controlled thickness so they can be used in suitably sized stud framing cavities. Glasswool Batts should be retained in position with string or wall wrap during construction. For external walls using wall wrap is the recommended method so that ventilation of the wall cavity is preserved. Glasswool Batts will increase comfort and reduce energy bills in the home by keeping heat out during summer and heat in during winter. Glasswool Batts will also reduce noise entering the home when installed in the external walls, or reduce noise transfer between rooms when installed in the internal walls. Glasswool Batts are supplied in two convenient widths to suit standard housing construction: 430mm width for 450mm stud centres, and 580mm width for 600mm stud centres.
